These offerings give teachers practical tools, simple systems, and direct industry insight that give industry currency and awareness in sustainability, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), resource recovery, LEAN principles, and the emerging circular economy

🏫 Sustainability Workshop (1.5 hours)

A supportive, online session for teachers, HODs, support staff, and anyone who wants to understand functional sustainability.

Teachers learn:

  • the difference between “waste” and resource recovery

  • how LEAN thinking creates simpler daily systems

  • how to recognise resource flows in the classroom

  • how to guide students through simple, measurable sustainability actions

  • how industry uses the same tools your students will learn

  • how to connect curriculum areas to sustainability without adding workload

Duration: 1.5 hours
(Please note this is available free for all Climate Action Schools who have taken the pledge.)

🏢 Industry Tours for Teachers (Full day, catered)

Visit three industries such as:

  • Cummins Master Rebuild Centre (16 years of engine recovery; 50% global business)

  • OSAAP and Queensland Gaskets

  • plus other sectors like Aerospace, and Manufacturing depending on availability

You’ll:

  • see sustainable systems in practice

  • understand ESG, resource recovery and circular systems

  • walk through facilities using LEAN thinking

  • learn how these systems connect to V9 curriculum

  • gain industry language you can bring straight into your classroom

PPE provided. Closed shoes needed.
