Recently, I attended the Sustainability Expo in Melbourne. Super experience being surrounded by like-minded people.  Reminds me we’re not alone in this fight to transition to a smarter, more sustainable way of living. I appreciated this.  Huge thanks to our partners at Containers for Change for inviting us to co-present with them at the recent P&C’s Qld conference.

The Circular Sustainability Tour to Industry – 25 June

Across the Sunshine Coast, there is an opportunity to bring schools, industry, and government together around something practical, local, and forward-focused.

Climate Action Schools is proud to be part of a partnership with the Queensland Government’s Sunshine Coast Advancing Manufacturing Hub, helping build circular economy understanding, practical capability, and stronger workforce pathways for students.

This full-day, fully catered program gives teachers, student ambassadors, HODs, sustainability leaders and school staff unmatched access to leading industries using functional sustainability (LEAN), resource recovery and circular economy systems every day. Our thanks to Megabeam and Sunshine Coast council’s Smart City for hosting this tour!

A 30-minute online session designed for Principals, Business Managers, P&C Associations and leadership teams to explore how the Climate Action Schools (CAS) model supports sustainability, operational alignment and future pathways for your school. You’ll hear how CAS can reduce waste costs, strengthen sustainability practice and help you decide next steps.

🌱 How to Become a Climate Action School – Online Workshop
This 2-hour online session guides educators and school teams through the practical strategies and systems needed to start your Climate Action Schools journey. You’ll gain clarity on tools and frameworks that support sustainable systems and activation planning.

🌱 Workshop 2: The System Explained (In Person)
An in-person workshop exploring the Climate Action Schools system in depth — ideal for school teams ready to strengthen integration of sustainability practice across operations, curriculum and strategy.

🌱 Sustainability Workshop – Teacher PD (Online)
A 1.5-hour online professional development session for teachers and staff focused on building sustainability awareness, LEAN principles, resource recovery and circular systems.
